Goals
SPRC is committed to do fundamental and applied research in the field of social psychology. It investigates social and cultural characteristics of Iranian society and tries to produce indigenous knowledge in social psychological issues. Understanding and preventing social pathologies such as addiction, diffusion of responsibility, loss of morality, prejudice and discrimination are other major goals of SPRC. The center also strives to find tailored solutions for these social pathologies in Iranian society. SPRC hopes to strengthen Social Psychology in Iran by educating the prospective researchers and introducing the application of social psychology to Iranian Society.
Doing intercultural and cross-cultural studies is another major goal of SPRC. Holding (local, national, global) meetings and seminars to provide scientific dialogue and to make contact with social psychological organizations across the world in order to engage in joint research are among our next goals.
